Lamport House FAQ's

Question: Where does the porcelain china from The Lamport House come from and what is it?
Answer: All of the porcelain is imported as whiteware/greenware (plain white) and is of the highest quality. It
is all NEW china and is reproductions of antique Prussian, Limoges, Bavarian, and other coveted styles.
The porcelain is then designed and painted by the artisans at The Lamport House.

Question: Since the shopping cart is not up and running yet, how do I order from The Lamport House?
Answer: Call us at 605-994-2215, between the hours of 10 AM and 8 PM (Central Time) - 7 days a week.
We are HAPPY to discuss design options and feel that speaking to a client personally is a wonderful way to
give them exactly what they want and love it.
We take personal checks (we ship after the check clears the bank), accept Paypal (secure transaction), and
Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Question: What is the "Ready-Made" China?
Answer: The "ready-made" pieces are simply items that The Lamport House has created and have for
immediate sale. There is no lead time and the items are ready to ship upon purchase.

Question: What is "Custom" China?
Answer: The "custom" pieces are ones where the customer picks out the porcelain piece/s they desire
(teapot, teacup, jewel box, etc), and then choose the floral pattern for the item/s (choose from over a dozen -
see the PATTERNS PAGE), the (optional) background color/s (additional charges apply), choose between
bright gold or bright platinum detailing (on handles, scrollwork, personalization, etc), as well as any inscription
or personalization for the item (i.e. names & dates of wedding or anniversary couple; name, birth weight, date
of birth for a baby; "Special Sister", "Special Friend", etc.).

Question: Does The Lamport House sell wholesale?
Answer: Yes! We have many stores nationwide that we sell wholesale merchandise to. To purchase at
wholesale pricing, please call The Lamport House. LH requires paperwork/resale tax certificate on file for
wholesale buyers.

Question: Does The Lamport House have sales reps?
Answer: Yes! LH has sales reps throughout the United States who sell our merchandise to retail stores. If

Question: How does The Lamport House ship their items?
Answer: LH packages the porcelain items VERY WELL (haven't had many instances of breakage in years of
business), and then ships them out via US Postal Service (Priority) or UPS. Items are insured with the shipping
companies.
